Finally a proper headline

Finally CBC has put out a proper headline on Aug 3rd:

Gaza: Strike near UN school a 'criminal act,' says Ban Ki-moon

Strike reported in Rafah injures at least 35 others seeking refuge from Israel-Hamas fighting

But notice it just refers to a "strike" without naming Israel, and it refers only to the injured without noting the killed, including children.

Also within the article there is plenty of misreporting:

Hamas has said it will not stop fighting until Israel and Egypt lift their blockade of Gaza, imposed after the Islamic militant group overran the territory in 2007. Large swaths of Gaza have been destroyed and some 250,000 people have been forced to flee their homes since the war began.

Hamas won a legitimate election in 2007. How in the name of Heaven can that be described as an "over run"? Does CBC not understand elections, or is their grasp of the English language so poor?

250,000 people sounds like a lot, because it is, but if CBC added a little context it would sound even worse. This is almost 25% of the total population of the territory (ghetto).

Still there are several paragraphs on one Israeli soldier. His funeral will be on Sunday. Did we need to know that? But not a single name of Palestinians killed or any details about their funerals.
