CBC ignores killing children

A few days ago CBC.ca had a headline article about a pregnant Israeli woman that was moderately wounded by a Palestinian attacker in a West Bank illegal settlement.

The following was reported yesterday in Arab media, but you can be certain it will not be covered by CBC:

13-year-old Palestinian shot dead after alleged stab attempt

Jan. 23, 2016 9:54 A.M. (Updated: Jan. 23, 2016 8:44 P.M.)

It is terrible to attack and MODERATELY wound a pregnant woman. But can someone explain to me why that is more news worthy than the killing of a 13-year old girl?

If CBC was ethical, and it did not wish to report on the almost daily killings of Palestinians, many of whom are just distraught children, then at least CBC should have the decency not to report on the moderate wounding of Israelis.

But it is clear. CBC has an agenda. To ignore or hide despicable Israeli acts of violence, and emphasize Palestinian violence. WHY?

So a little 13 year old girl was brandishing a knife. Was there no other way to protect the illegal settlement from her than executing her? This is very doubtful. It was almost certainly a cold-blooded and totally unnecessary killing of a child motivated by racism and it deserves to be exposed more so than the moderate wounding of an Israeli.

CBC is ethically bankrupt when it comes to Israel.

CBC Still Demonizing Iran

While every decent and intelligent person is supportive of the US-Iran negotiations to replace threats of violence and real violence with negotiations, CBC still wants to keep the door open for war. One really has to ask WHY?

This article, another example of CBC's weaponized words, was published on January 24:

'U.S.-Iran tango' enters new era after end of sanctions

Iran opening its doors to the West, but fears remain about its role in the volatile region

In the article Iran is described as the "would-be nuclear power". What does this mean? Is this based on any real evidence that Iran wants to be a nuclear power? Does CBC regularly refer to Israel by a phrase such as this - perhaps as the "illegal occupier" or the "presumed nuclear power"? Why does Iran deserve this misleading ad damning epithet? WHY?

The article is supposedly "balanced" by quoting several moronic and war mongering Americans who are still obsessing about the supposed danger of Iran. What do these moronic Americans really know about anything? They are just spouting nonsense and propaganda, and does CBC really need to echo this crap?

The article is designed to leave a wide trail of suspicion about Iran, when the real news is that Iran is trying desperately to be readmitted to full membership in the world of nations - a departure from which was unfairly engineered by a slough of Israeli and American propagandists. They failed to win the day. Why does CBC still hold on so desperately to their propaganda? Why can CBC not welcome the possibility of peace with Iran? Is it perhaps because Israel is still pushing to isolate and punish Iran for Israel's own nefarious purposes? But how does this kind of reporting serve Canadians?

Shot Dead Versus Moderately Wounded

CBC clearly values Jewish lives and well-being more highly than those of Palestinians. Over the last several months over a hundred Palestinians were killed by Israelis, and many of them were children and teenagers. No Palestinian would ever warrant a headline for just being "moderately wounded."

On January 18th CBC.ca gave us this headline:

Palestinian attacker stabs pregnant Israeli woman in West Bank

Woman was moderately wounded, while the attacker was shot

CBC intentionally tries to promote the Zionist propaganda that Israelis are innocent victims and Palestinians deserve every violence that is done to them by Israelis. Nowhere in the article is the suggestion made that this pregnant woman was living in a war zone of Occupation; nor does it mention the suffering of the Palestinians which causes many of them to strike out (totally ineffectively) with knives.

CBC staff know what they are doing with this biased coverage, and they should be stopped.

San Bernadino Tragedy

CBC published many long articles over several days on this tragedy, and of course, never failed to link the attacks to Islamic fundamentalism. But I never saw anything in CBC like the following reported in the Jerusalem Post:

The father of one of the San Bernardino killers told an Italian newspaper on Sunday that his son, Sayed Rizan Farook, had an obsessive hatred of Israel that underscored his Islamic radicalism and allegiance to the ideals of Islamic State.

The fact is that Israel's treatment of Palestinians is a fundamental factor in Islamic extremism, and it should be noted much more often in the media.

The failure to repeatedly point out how unqualified support for Israel's worst behaviours by the USA and Canada is not only immoral, but actually puts Canadians at risk, is criminal negligence on the part of CBC and the media.

Bin Laden said about the USA and Israel that " You cannot bomb our places and kill our children and not expect the same to be done to you." Stephen Harper described the Israeli massacres of children in Gaza and Lebanon as a "measured response." What in effect he was doing was pinning a target on Canadian children for the sake of Israel. CBC never pointed out this simple reality.

CBC is guilty, not only for its slanted and dishonest reporting on Israel/Palestine, it is also guilty for all the glaring facts and reality that it does not report.

Extremists? Arsonists? Not Terrorists?

The killing of the Palestinian toddler and his parents absolutely fits the definition of terrorism, yet CBC which freely calls Muslims terrorists at every opportunity, refrains from doing that when the obvious terrorism perpetrators are Israeli.

This is today's headline:

Israel indicts Jewish extremists in arson attack that killed Palestinian toddler, parents

Of course CBC will not mention that Israel applies collective punishment to the families of Palestinian terrorists, such as destroying their family homes and harming their innocent relatives, but Israel would never dream of doing the same to the families of Israeli terrorists.

CBC regularly uses vocabulary in a misleading fashion, and often the main news is in what they do not report, rather than in what they do report.

And you have to wonder if the CBC failure to call these Israeli terrorists as terrorists is simply because CBC allows Israel to write their copy for them. I guess since they work for Israel, that would simply be more efficient.

Why Do They Hate Us?

This is an ignorant question, but it is made by many, because the media has intentionally kept them ignorant. Anyone who is familiar with the myriad crimes against Muslim societies perpetrated by the West in the last 100 years, would ask "Why do they not hate us even more?"

I will not list the crimes, but one of the worst of them all was the creation of the State of Israel in the Muslim heartland against the wishes of the indigenous people, followed by 70 years of continued abuse of these same people.

CBC will not honestly describe the terrible treatment by Israel of the Palestinians, but the rest of the Muslim world is very aware of them. When Israel goes on a killing spree as I mentioned above, CBC papers the brutality over, but it is made very clear to the 1.5 billion Muslims around the world.

When CBC protects Israel, through fuzzy, misleading or simply lying reporting, it denies Canadians the chance to understand the world around us. CBC never stops reporting on ISIS abuses, but it is misleading if CBC never points out the role that Israel plays, the ongoing role, that creates the ISIS problem.

ISIS is terrible and we need to understand the threat, but the more immediate threat to Canadians is the occupation of our national broadcaster, CBC, by interests that work for Israel against Canadian interests.

CBC's description of Israel's killing Spree

This was published on Jan 1, 2016:

On the Israeli side, 21 people have died, mostly in stabbings, shootings and car-ramming attacks.

At least 131 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire, 90 of them identified by Israel as assailants. The rest died in clashes with security forces.

Notice how the killing of 131 Palestinians is so cavalierly presented. No comment on the oddity of Palestinians who are attacking being killed four times more often than their victims. And the other 40 killings are casually described as happening as a result of clashes without a word about the fact that in almost every case UNARMED demonstrators were killed.

Also notice how Israeli claims are repeated as fact, not as "alleged". In fact according to Palestinian eyewitnesses, these killing have often been pure assassinations of helpless, already disarmed, attackers. Israel's policy is to KILL when ever there is an attack. These are often extrajudicial killings. Some might consider this justified, but most Canadians would view it as illegal and immoral, especially when teenagers and young women from an oppressed community are being assassinated. It is very likely that Israel is committing war crimes and CBC is intentionally not reporting this fact.

CBC has a duty to at least balance the questionable Israeli claims, with some reasonable Palestinian claims.
