What CBC Does not Report

CBC made headline news of a barrage of harmless rockets into Israel the other day, as if this is news. It was a relatively mild "retaliation" for the killing and wounding of thousands of Palestinians, but for CBC this was something unacceptable and therefore newsworthy.

But two other things happened in Gaza, that do not reflect well on Israel so CBC chose not to report them:

1) A Gaza man set himself on fire and died as an act of protest against the hopeless conditions of life in Gaza.

2) A boatload of Palestinians wounded by Israeli gunfire tried to sail out of Gaza to seek medical care elsewhere, but were stopped and sent back to the prison which is Gaza,

These are interesting stories, and they are relevant to events in the Israel/Palestine conflict. They are more unique and therefore newsworthy than a few rockets, but rockets make Hamas look bad, and these stories would make Israel look bad.

CBC is in the business of weaponizing words. By hiding the reality of injustices and crimes against Palestinians, and echoing Israeli propaganda, they are empowering Israel to continue with its crimes, approaching genocide, against the Palestinians.

CBC is complicit in these murders, and we Canadian taxpayers by funding CBC are also complicit in these murders. How long must we tolerate CBC dragging us into their dirt?

CBC Can't Get the Story Straight

Here are some quotes from today's article. This refers to the exchange of rockets from Gaza with missiles from Israel over the last couple days:

Gaza's Hamas rulers said Wednesday they had agreed to a ceasefire with Israel to end the largest flare-up of violence between the sides since a 2014 war.

For CBC the killing of 116 Palestinians and wounding thousands more does not count as an act of violence. Clearly for CBC Palestinian lives do not matter.

This claim is a lie:

Hamas initially billed the weekly border protests as a call to break through the fence and return to homes that were lost 70 years ago during the war surrounding Israel's establishment

The march to the border was never designed to breach the border. Never. By saying this, CBC is trying to justify the killing of unarmed protestors far from the border. This is an Israeli lie that CBC is repeating as if it had an iota of truth. It was a total fabrication.

And in another lie, CBC described the demonstrations of the last several weeks as "Hamas-led".
The demonstrations involved Hamas, the elected government of Gaza, but it was not solely Hamas-led as Israel likes to claim falsely, and CBC wants to repeat endlessly. It was enough to say there were protests. There was no need to add this false embellishment.

Are CBC journalists so dull-witted that they cannot hide their bias any better than this?

CBC Bias Always

In today's headline, CBC describes Israeli actions as "retaliation", but ignores the fact that perhaps it was the Israelis that killed over 100, and wounded several thousand Palestinians just recently, and perhaps the Gaza rockets could also be seen as retaliation. But when everything seen from a Zionist perspective, Israelis are always justified.

Israeli airstrikes retaliate after mortar fire from Gaza

CBC reporting is quite grotesque.

In reporting Nikki Haley's rage at the Gaza barrage, I wonder if CBC was actually trying to be humorous. That woman, who described the killing of unarmed protestors as "restraint" is livid with anger at rockets that hurt no one. She is a joke, and she and Trump have made the USA into a "dirty" joke.

CBC - Being Ironic?

The main message of Derek Stoffel's article in CBC.ca today is that journalism must be more accurate. He cites the example of possible misreporting on the death of one baby in Gaza. But look how he started his article:

Unarmed Palestinians marched toward the fence separating Gaza from Israel, calling for freedom. Meanwhile, Israeli soldiers used live ammunition and tear gas to protect citizens on the other side of the barrier.

Basically he is claiming that the Gazans attacked, and Israel defended. This bears no relationship to the reality, but it makes Israel look justified which is his and CBC's goal.

The reality should have stated that: Palestinians, exercising their legitimate right to protest peacefully against the great injustices done against them, marched to their own side of the border fence, and Israelis shot to kill them, contrary to international law, as a means of ending these legitimate demonstrations.

Unlike Stoffel's first line, the Palestinians did not attack, and the Israelis did not defend themselves. How do you write an article advocating accuracy in journalism, and begin it with this total inversion of reality biassed in favour of the offending side? Is this the best CBC can do?

CBC - Reaches New Low

In today's article, CBC reached a new low in its reporting on Gaza:

Gaza images stir emotions but fail to capture complexity of Israeli-Palestinian conflict

Photograph of dead baby picked up by media around the world has some crying 'fake news'

The reporter makes much of the propaganda value of the Palestinian loss of life on the border, and implies that the issue is just one of competing propaganda narratives. But ignores the fact that it was not propaganda that Israel was shooting at unarmed Palestinians, it was live bullets. For CBC these are somehow equivalent.

Of course CBC is always keen to quote Israeli sources even when they are inane:

"We haven't been able to get that message out of how it is from our side, what we are defending," said Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus, according to Haaretz.

But even CBC states as a fact that Israel was defending its citizens by killing Gaza people on their own side of the border fence: These are CBC's words:

Unarmed Palestinians marched toward the fence separating Gaza from Israel, calling for freedom. Meanwhile, Israeli soldiers used live ammunition and tear gas to protect citizens on the other side of the barrier.

This is not news, this is Zionist propaganda. Israel knew that the Gaza people were ZERO threat to Israeli citizens, but that they were creating an embarrassment for Israel. It was to deflect this embarrassment that Israel butchered the Gaza people. If CBC cannot bring itself to say this, at least it should not repeat the bullshit that the Israeli snipers were "defending" helpless Israeli citizens inside Israel.

And CBC puts in the headline the the situation is so complex. That is Israeli bullshit. It is not nearly so complex as the Zionists and CBC would have us believe. It is a simple matter of INJUSTICE, that needs to be addressed, but is being entirely ignored.

CBC and the Zionists want us to believe that the situation is too complex to unravel, so the GLARING TRUTh of injustice can be hidden.

Suppose it was not Israel

In this article in CBC half the words reported were by defenders of Israel. It is even in the sub-heading:

Israel's response in Gaza was 'disproportionate': UN human rights chief

Israel, U.S. slam the UN session, with an American official calling the council 'a broken body'

Suppose the party that used snipers to execute hundreds and injure thousands of civilians who were protesting on their own side of a border fence were Chinese killing Tibetans?

Would CBC bend over so far backwards to give the Chinese side of the massacre? And while they are at it, perhaps CBC might want some day to outline and defend the Nazi side on the Holocaust.

Disproportionate text to Israel's defence

In today's article:

Israel's response in Gaza was 'disproportionate': UN human rights chief

Israel, U.S. slam the UN session, with an American official calling the council 'a broken body'

CBC gave half the text over to defenders of Israel's criminal behaviour. This was disproportionate. Israel's defence is weak to non-existent, so it did not deserve so much text. Even the sub-headline had wording to seriously weaken the truth and severity of the criticism of Israel's behaviour.

Why couldn't CBC just report the fact of the condemnation of Israel which was so rightly deserved?

You can be certain that if the UN criticized another country for obvious human rights abuses, CBC  would not spend half or more of the text giving arguments in defence of the obvious human rights abuser.

CBC does not mention Canadian injured

CBC's latest article has room to publish this crap:

More than 100 Palestinians have been killed since the demonstrations began on March 30. Hamas said Wednesday that 50 of its members were among the 60 people who died during Monday's violence.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Hamas should be held responsible for the deaths in Gaza.

"They're pushing civilians women children into the line of fire with a view of getting casualties," Netanyahu told CBS News. "We try to minimize casualties. They're trying to incur casualties in order to put pressure on Israel, which is horrible."

The vast majority of injured and killed were not Hamas members, but it suits Israel to make this claim, and it suits CBC's Zionists to repeat it often. What Netanyahu said was disgusting and ridiculous. You do not "minimize casualties" by killing unarmed [protestors who are over 100 meters from your border. Netanyahu belongs in the international Criminal Court charged with war crimes, and CBC should say so.

And in spite of having room for all this Israeli crap, Stofel could not find the space for mentioning the Canadian doctor that was injured, and the other doctor on his team who was killed. Stifle is supposedly writing for a Canadian audience, but because this bit of news is damaging to Israel, well, Israel always comes first for CBC - before even Canada.

Derek Stofel CBC reporter can't get the story straight

Here is what he wrote today:

Across Gaza, Palestinians are demanding action after 60 people were killed in a bloody day of violence on Monday. Israeli forces used live ammunition during mass protests to stop demonstrators from penetrating the barrier that separates Gaza from Israel.

This is Israeli bullshit. Israeli snipers were killing people that were nowhere near the fence, and who were not going to put even one toe across the border fence.

Israeli snipers were killing unarmed people to frighten them away from their protest demonstrations. Israel was saying with its bullets "Go home to your prison in Gaza or we will kill you."

Why does Stofel write this bullshit? Because he knows if you want to work in the media in Canada, and especially for CBC, you need to follow the Zionist narrative and repeat Israeli lines and misinformation.

Also in the article why is he quoting Netanyahu? This is a fascist, racist leader of killers who should be treated as a pariah, not endlessly quoted by CBC even when his remarks are stomach-churningly false and awful. The world hears far too much from this tinpot leader of an evil Mickey Mouse country. Someone should count up the words CBC has quoted from this turd and other Israeli mouthpieces and compare it to the number of words quoted from other much more honest, and respectable world leaders (and of course, that does not include Trump).

CBC Unbalanced

Today's article on the Gaza situation was full of meaningless crap quoting Israeli sources. It ignores the real story completely, by pretending the murdered Palestinians were mostly Hamas, as if the killing of unarmed protestors of that political affiliation, is somehow OK.

And CBC always makes this statement:

Gaza has been controlled since 2007 by Hamas, an Islamist group that denies Israel's right to exist and has fought three wars with Israel in the past decade.

CBC has no space to report on the medics and journalists killed and injured by Israeli snipers (killers), but they have space for this.

So what if Hamas denies Israel's right to exist? Israel not only denies, but makes it impossible for Palestine's right to exist. Does CBC qualify every reference to the Israeli Government by saying it is making a Palestinian State impossible? Why qualify Hamas with this, but give Israel a free pass?

To be balanced CBC should a;ways qualify references to Israel by noting the settlements campaign which is stealing the last vestiges of a possible Palestinian State.

CBC Employees - How do you sleep at night?

CBC has blood on its hands. CBC is complicit in war crimes. CBC covers up Israeli crimes against Palestinians, which makes it possible for them to be continued.

Every peaceful Palestinian protestor in Gaza that has been killed, or seriously wounded, while CBC remains largely quiet or totally duplicitous, echoing Israeli bullshit, and ignoring the criminal nature of what is happening, has a right to blame CBC for his or her suffering.

And since we Canadians pay the bills at CBC (one might think Israel should be paying them), we are also complicit in this travesty.

I might have to discontinue this blog because reading the news these days is making me physically sick, and ashamed to be a Jew and a Canadian.

Why Was This Not in CBC.ca?

A Canadian citizen, clearly marked as a medic, was shot by Israeli snipers. His rescuer, another clearly marked medic, was shot in the chest and died. This information is relevant to Canadians, ands it clearly shows the criminality and brutality of Israel's behaviour, but it was not a top item in CBC.ca; it was not even an item.

It was a side story in "As it Happens":

Canadian shot in Gaza says he was 'clearly marked' as a doctor

CBC made a big deal, published over several days, of Abbas saying some things that seemed to sound anti-Semitic.That was big news for CBC. How terrible that the Palestinian leader says nasty things about Jews. It would be much more newsworthy if Abbas said nice things about Jews, considering the suffering Israel Jews and their Diaspora enablers, have cause Palestinians. That was hardly real news.

But when a Canadian is injured, that should be treated as top priority real news, but CBC chose to mostly ignore it.

CBC works for Israel, not for Canadians, and this is omission makes this very clear.

CBC Gives Equal Time to Israel???

CBC has this quote from US Ambassador Nikki Haley:

The U.S. defended the action of its allies at Tuesday's UN session in New York.

"Who among us would accept this type of activity on your border? No one would," U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley said. "No country in this chamber would act with more restraint than Israel has.

She is grotesque. She sees blood and children dying and she calls it good. Just a week ago she was crying crocodile tears over Syrian children, saying she is a mother who knows the suffering of mothers. She is not a mother. She is a monster. She sees Palestinian children dying and she feels nothing. Absolutely nothing.

She calls snipers with zero threat to themselves butchering Palestinians like in a turkey shoot and she calls this "restraint".

The CBC photo of her walking out of the room says a lot about her ethics. If only we could see the back of her permanently.

BUT UNTIL CBC EMPHASIZES THE FACT THAT NOT A SINGLE ISRAELI SOLDIER OR CIVILIAN RECEIVED EVEN A SCRATCH IN THIS CONFRONTATION,  ALL CBC REPORTING IS CORRUPT.

CBC, headline OK, but lots of bad text

CBC got the headline right, for a change:

Palestinian death toll rises in protests against U.S. Embassy opening in Jerusalem

At least 55 demonstrators killed by Israeli soldiers during protests along Gaza border

But the text is rife with quotes from Israelis that are pure nonsense, and they are not adequately balanced with a bit of truth from the Palestinian side.

CBC quotes Netanyahu who says the killing of unarmed protesters is a legitimate act of "self-defence", and that Israel acted violently because of the fear of a breach of the border fence. Bullshit - Israel just wanted to scare the Palestinians away from carrying out their legitimate protests. Israel was never at risk for one second.

CBC also quotes Israeli sources saying Palestinians were actually at the border fence and trying to cross. This is almost certainly a lie. This action would be purely suicidal and accomplish nothing. Yet CBC quotes Israeli sources saying there were "significant" incidents at the border fence. At least CBC put this in scare quotes, because it almost certainly untrue, but why even publish this?

Why all these Israeli quotes, but not even a sentence to highlight the fact that not a single Israeli suffered a scratch or a bruise, while they killed 80 unarmed people. Is this not a relevant fact, more worthy of publishing than a litany of Israeli lies.?

CBC Not Reporting, Not Even a Scratch

CBC glibly writes about violence on the Gaza border:

Dozens killed near Israel-Gaza border fence as U.S. celebrates Jerusalem embassy

Hamas has suggested a border breach is possible; Israel says there will be dire consequences if so

But CBC fails to mention that not even a single Israeli soldier received even a single bruise or scratch. This is relevant information, but CBC prefers to talk ambiguously about violence, somehow pretending that both sides are being equally violent. Note "dozens killed" but omitting the words "by Israeli snipers".

Also the sub-heading includes the bullshit claim that Hamas was threatening a border breach. This will not happen, because Hamas knows they are not facing the British in the time of Gandhi, but they are facing an army that will cut every unarmed man, woman, and child down with massive firepower if the border is actually breached.

Stop pretending that the people of Gaza are suicidal. Breaching the fence would be pure suicide. Israel will show not an iota of compassion for anyone that crosses the border and the Palestinians know this.

And CBC knows this too, but it keeps repeating that nonsense claim that there will be a border breach.

This nonsense claim gives the supposed justification for Israel to commit slaughter on the border - on the Gaza side of the border. They are pretending to be SO AFRAID of the Palestinians. Either the Israelis are the biggest cowards on the face of the earth, or they are the most heartless killers. Which is it, CBC?

CBC - Echoing Israeli Propaganda

The Zionist propagandists are making much of a supposed threat of a mass breach of the border fence with Gaza, and of course CBC is helping them.

Israel boosts Gaza border force as U.S. prepares to open Jerusalem embassy

This breach will not happen, because it would result in the mass murder of thousands of Palestinian civilians - yes, thousands. They will not breach the fence because they know how brutal, racist, and vicious the Israeli military would react. It would accomplish nothing except mass death.

The real issues that CBC will never publish are these:

1) How desperate the Israelis know the people of Gaza are, and they have made them. If the Israelis really believe that they will breach the wall (which they do not), they must also believe that the people of Gaza are suffering so much that they would welcome mass death. If the Israelis really believe this, where is their conscience that they make this happen?

2) Everyone knows that the Israeli military would freely commit mass murder of border breachers without blinking an eye - so much for the supposedly moral army. Everyone knows this - so the breach will not happen.

3) What Israel fears, and the only thing that Israel fears, is the bad publicity that they will receive if they commit mass murder. Israel is a country founded on a pile of lies and propaganda, kept believable by the mass medias like CBC, but if that barrier of falsehood is ever breached, Israel could collapse.

Israel does not fear the people of Gaza, Israel only fears the Truth. But CBC will work overtime to suppress the Truth about Israel.

CBC Using Language to Hide Reality

This was published today:

"As we've seen in the last seven Fridays, we've seen Palestinian protests, and more than 40 Palestinians have been killed, many shot by Israeli forces as they made their way toward the border fence that separates Gaza from Israel."

The demonstrators were never the slightest threat to the Israeli border, but this quote suggests that they were killed as they were approaching and threatening to cross the border. That is bullshit. They were never the slightest threat to Israel's security. So it was cold-blooded murder. And it suggests that "many" were killed by Israel, but not all. Well, who else was shooting at the Gaza protestors?

How do CBC reporters sleep at night when they publish lying language like this?

These are weaponized words. These words kill children. Shame on CBC.

CBC Rotten Reporting

Look at this today:

Next week's Gaza demonstrations will mark Nakba, a Palestinian day of mourning over Israel's 1948 founding, and are designed to be the culmination of six weeks of marches to the border.

Any decent person would understand that the Nakba refers to the suffering off the Palestinians in being driven out of their homes and into refugee camps.

CBC rephrases this as if Palestinians are just nasty people who are troubled by someone else;'s happiness.

CBC stopps so low so regularly.
